First we need to apologize for getting behind in our blogging! We've been trying to get facebook previews out as fast as we can, but we fell behind on our blog. We will work on getting it all caught up!
Katie and Bobby were married out at Mackinaw Valley Vineyard on October 18th. Mother nature threatened rain, but it turned out to be a lovely fall day. Maybe a little chilly, but we had some great clouds and some beautiful fall color.
They decided not to see each other before the wedding, but we did want to take care of some pictures before the ceremony, as the reception was on site and was to start immediately following the ceremony. So we got there early and started with some of the detail shots. The vineyard was a great backdrop for the ring and dress shots. The rings came from Bremer jewelers and if you look closely you can see a He Clicks-She Clicks self portrait...shiny, reflective bling!
A girl after She Clicks heart with her comfy shoes. If you have ever tried to walk through grassy areas in heels, you know how hard it is! We love the personalized messages on the soles of her shoes!
Here is the Katie's gown from Bobby's Bridal. Those clouds scared us a little, but Mother Nature behaved!
Sometimes as photographers we have to take on other rolls as well. Here is He Clicks, holder of the branches. We wanted to make sure the branches weren't blocking the dress, or getting it dirty! You can see She Clicks below as she puts the Shout wipes to work on the brides dress! Enjoy some of our pre-ceremony pictures with the girls and boys, or should we say women and men, separately.
This is what we call the GQ pose...way to pull it of Bobby! @Katie, we told you he was cooperating with full smiles! :)
Work it girl!
Here is the She Clicks Shout wipe picture, making sure we get some of that vineyard dirt off her dress before the ceremony!
What a lovely bridal party! The girl to the left of Katie in this picture is her sister. It was very special that she was able to make it for the wedding, as she just had a baby the prior week. It was such a sweet reunion between the two.
Here comes the bride...
Looks like he's trying hard to hold back those tears.
Mom wasn't able to hold them back so well though!
Look at those gorgeous fall colors framing their ceremony!
We have seen this tradition more often and it's awesome. Inside this box they put letters to each other that they will read on their 1st year anniversary. Very sweet!
A super sweet moment was when Bobby left a flower in memory of his grandmother on a chair they left open for her. Not a dry eye in the area!
They were married by our friend Faith of Glass Slipper Entertainment. She was not only their officiant but also their DJ. Very talented and super sweet!
Now that they are married we had time for a few shots around the winery of the couple. There is so many options on these grounds for wedding pictures.
Look how happy and in love these two are!
As mentioned earlier, the reception was right there on the same grounds as the reception. This makes it easy for all involved, especially the guests though. Katie put a lot of time and personal touches into decorating the receptions. It looked perfect. Not only is she talented, but so are her friends. This cakew as courtesy of her friends Liz Daniels.
Some of Katie's personal touches are below.
Katie and Bobby's first dance was to Brad Paisley "Then":
Now you're my whole life
Now you're my whole worldI just can't believe
The way I feel about you girl
We'll look back someday
At this moment that we're in
And I'll look at you and say
And I thought I loved you then
Again, we love to find a special place for an ending shot of the night. It wasn't hard to find that special place out at the vineyard. Thanks Katie and Bobby for allowing us to capture your special day. You two are very sweet and we wish you all the best!
The food at our wedding reception was ridiculously good. Our guests couldn't stop talking about it! (Crab cakes, sliders, braised beef that melts in your mouth, what more can I say?)
