Congratulations to He Clicks-She Clicks' newest bride and groom! They could not have asked for a more gorgeous day, complete with blue skies and perfect temperatures. We started the day by setting up the photo booth at the Holiday Inn. Once we had it unloaded He Clicks got it up and running while She Clicks ran up to the bride's room to capture some getting ready moments. The room was packed full of excitement, happiness, and girls finishing up there hair and make up. She Clicks found a quiet corner to showcase Ashton's lovely wedding gown from Michelle's Bridal and Tuxedo, as seen below.
Shortly after, we left the hotel and headed to St Mary's Catholic Church to set up lights for the pre-ceremony formals. The picture below shows just how beautiful the blue skies were on Saturday!
He Clicks started with the men's formals and She Click's went to be with Ashton for some final getting ready details and to photograph that magical moment when the bride steps into her dress surrounded by the most important women in their lives. Look at this handsome group....(tuxedo's from Seno's Formalwear).
This was no ordinary garter. It was made with pieces from the brides 1st communion dress and her mother's veil. The final touch was the beautiful "something blue" brooch.
Bling! Bling! The groom gets 2 thumbs up for picking out the stunning engagement ring and wedding bands. The backdrop of this picture was Ashton's colorful bouquet from An Affair to Remember.
Pictured here is her Grandma's rosary that Ashton wrapped around her bouquet and carried down the aisle with her. A very sweet touch.
We just had to add another picture of it because it was that sweet!
Here it goes...the dress being zippered up by mom! That means it's almost time to walk down the aisle!
There is something to be said for historic churches such as St Mary's. The architecture and stained glass windows speak for themselves.
It so happens that both sets of parents are celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary this year. Father Gregg brought them up for a special surprise blessing that Ashton and Phil had arranged. A very touching moment!
Announcing, 1st time as husband and wife, Mr and Mrs Barling!
Phew...we made it through the ceremony, now let's go party!!! (at least that's what their smiles say)!
But first, let's get some more formals out of the way!
While the church was lovely, the couple did not want all pictures taken there. So they packed themselves up in the party bus and headed to family property of the groom. Wow! Gorgeous couple-check! Gorgeous day-check! Gorgeous property-check! Could our day get any easier?
A little behind the scenes action with She Clicks.....
.....and He Clicks!
2 quick stops before the reception: First, this grand old oak tree off the side of the road!
Second, a stop at Illinois State University. The couple met at ISU. They were telling us that most of the buildings that were significant to them (such as their dorm Dunn) are no longer standing, so this bence served as the perfect location for a quick campus picture.
Time to party at the Holiday Inn now! This cake was done by a very talented family friend.
And here's another talented friend! This bridesmaid actually rapped her toast...yes RAPPED! It was awesomely entertaining!
Here's another duo from Absolute Light and Sound that kept the party going ALL night!
The evening ended just as perfectly as it began! Congratulations again!
