Just this week we asked our facebook friends to pose some photography questions for us to answer, so here we go:
Q: What photo lab do you use for prints?
A: We use Black River Imaging for most of our professional prints (in Missouri). Our premium albums come from GraphiStudio (Italy) and our local favorite is JMC Photo.
Q: What lab/software do you use for your wedding videos?
A: Animoto (Pro)
Q: Where do I take my lens with something in it?? It is in the inside somehow. Is there anywhere local or just send into company? I really don't want to send in and be without nor do I want to by a back up. Ideas?
A: We always send our gear back to the manufacturer for repairs. Canon for Mary and Nikon for Warren. They know the gear best and it's typically back within 2 weeks. If you don't want to be without gear then you can rent a backup body or lens from www.borrowlenses.com.
Q: I dabble in taking pictures and wonder if u have classes?? I am wanting to know how to get sharper images. My pictures are just not as crisp as I want them.
A:Yes, we do offer classes. Our next DSLR 101 Bootcamp is Aug 2 and it covers a lot in 8 hrs! Sharpness or lack of could be due to many reasons including:
1. focus
2. depth of field
3. lens quality
4. shutter speed (camera shake)
We cover all these in our DSLR 101 course. If you have a specific image you'd like us to look at and provide feedback you can email it to us at heclickssheclicks@gmailcom. We also do offer 1:1 hourly mentor sessions.
Hope this answer some of your questions!

Mackinaw Valley Vineyard Wedding | Mackinaw IL Wedding Photography
Mackinaw Valley Winery gives the perfect backdrop for couples saying "I Do". It was a beautiful morning as we captured Ashley and Nick preparing for their big day. Minutes before the ceremony the storm clouds started rolling in. Miraculously the storms held off until minutes after the ceremony. They were able to get their vows in and a couple quick shots before it started pouring! Fortunately, their wedding reception was inside at the Double Tree in Bloomington..but not until 1 quick stop at Maggie Miley's in Normal IL!

ISU Wedding and Reception | Bloomington-Normal IL Wedding Photography
Caiti and Dave had their wedding and reception both at the ISU Circus Room. It was the perfect set up, especially since it rained hard that day! There was no need to travel in the rain from one location to another. We were looking forward to some great ISU quad pictures, however, the rain pushed us off into one outdoor sheltered area. We were still able to capture many great memories though for this unbelievable sweet couple!
Forrest Park and McGraw Park Engagement Session | Bloomington-Normal IL Wedding and Engagement Photographers
We park-hopped for this sunny sessions! We started off the evening at the old Forrest Park bridge, always a favorite of ours. The couple really enjoys McGraw, so we headed out there for the last bit of sunlight! We love getting to know our couples through our consults and especially our engagement sessions!
Peoria Zoo Wedding | Peoria IL Wedding Photography
We instantly hit it off with Greta and Darrin! Greta put so much thought into the details behind her wedding day, handmaking the broach bouquets for herself and all her bridesmaids. The Peoria Zoo served for a great backdrop for their wedding day, complete with giraffes and rhino photo bombs!
This couple had a first site before their ceremony which we love for so many reasons. We make sure to set it up so the groom and bride are separate until the final moment where the groom turns around and sees his bride for the first time. Without the large crowd staring and officiant talking, you truly have a special time to just take it all in, talk to each other, and embrace that special moment. After that it gives us time to get some pictures out of the way so the time betweent he ceremony and reception is minimal. Many couples hate having their guests wait for the reception to get started, so this is one way to help alleviate that break in time!
